If you are a parent of an existing player keen to volunteer your services to help the club, we always have opportunities for people to help in a variety of ways. If your child is keen to play football and join one of the fastest growing clubs in Hertfordshire, there are options available to you:
How to take part as a player
Demand to join our teams is very high and places within the squads are usually secured early each summer, long before the new season starts. There are occasions where teams will have a vacancy so please contact us to enquire about availability. Every Bushey & Oxhey FC registered player receives his own playing kit and club jacket emblazoned with the club badge, the players initials and Bushey & Oxhey FC print on the back.
If squads are full, managers will consider taking on “Development Players”. These players train with the team but do not take part in league and cup matches. Each Development Player receives a club jacket emblazoned with the club badge, the players initials and Bushey & Oxhey FC print on the back. This makes the player still feel very much part of our club. Please contact us for further details.
How to get involved as a parent
Bushey & Oxhey FC has a very proactive committee made up of parents of our players. The committee’s aim is to continue to develop Bushey & Oxhey FC and expand our football activities whilst maintaining our ability to offer some of the best youth football facilities in Hertfordshire. Our aim is to have representation from every age group within the club; new members are always welcome. Please contact Club Secretary for further details.
Part of our governance structure includes our Fundraising Committee. As a club at the heart of its community, our social activities are very well supported. Fundraising is vital throughout the season as this ensures we cover our costs. As a not for profit organisation, every penny we raise is ploughed back into benefit our players by continuing to provide the outstanding football experience everyone enjoys – from top quality football kits and jackets, replenished equipment and the first class pitches at The Metropolitan, Bushey.
