INFORMATION FOR COACHES

All Bushey & Oxhey FC teams are required to have at least one manager or coach holding a minimum of the FA Level 1 qualification, Emergency Aid qualification and Safeguarding Children qualification. This is also a requirement of Charter Standard clubs, which we are trying to meet. From season 2013/2014 all clubs in the Watford Friendly League must have reached Charter Standard, otherwise they will not be able to participate.

All of our managers, assistants and coaches are encouraged to further their coaching qualifications by attending FA Courses, and in some cases partial funding is available directly from the club. The club has agreed to fund 50% of the cost of the FA Level 1 course (which includes Safeguarding Children and Emergency Aid) for each team manager only. If the manager would like to delegate this to a coach or assistant, that is acceptable but the 50% funding is only available for 1 member of the management team for each of our teams.
 

Safeguarding Children in Football and Emergency Aid
 

Safeguarding Children in Football and Emergency Aid courses can be taken independently from the FA Level 1 course and need to be renewed every 3 years. Please speak to Cathy Watson – club Welfare Officer – if you would like to take one of these courses and volunteer your time to support one of our teams. Funding may be available.
