Girls & Ladies Football

Garston Ladies

Bushey & Oxhey Football Club’s girls and ladies football partner is GARSTON LADIES FC. Both clubs are based at Metropolitan Bushey, with Garston Ladies matches primarily taking place on Saturdays.

For any girls looking for a well established club to play for, we highly recommend Garston Ladies FC. The club was formed in 1996 at Lea Farm School, Watford as Garston Girls FC and has grown rapidly to become one of the largest female-only clubs in Hertfordshire. In May 2002, the club joined forces with Everett Ladies to form Garston Ladies FC.

Garston Ladies FC are a Charter Standard football club for girls and women, based at the Metropolitan Police Sports Club in Bushey. This season, Garston Ladies FC are running 10 Junior teams and 1 Senior team.

They have approx 160 players across all the age groups from Under 7 to adult, with the numbers growing each week and are always looking to expand and offer a warm welcome to all new players.

Earning a reputation for being a competitive, fair and friendly club, they were delighted to be awarded the FA Charter Standard in 2007 in recognition of their high standards.

Garston Ladies aim to provide a caring, family environment where girls can develop their skills and enjoy football free from pressure or fear of failure. They will not tolerate poor behaviour, bad language or abuse in any form from coaches, players, parents or spectators. The club actively supports the FA’s Respect Campaign.

The club has become increasingly successful, winning a number of county cups and league titles and are pleased to see a number of their players go on to achieve England recognition. Details of the clubs’ honours can be found on their Wikipedia page.

They are always looking for ways to develop Garston Ladies FC and are currently in the process of applying for Charter Development Club status. For more information on joining Garston Ladies please visit their website at or email club Chairman Ray Smith at
